Europlant reports that the past week was filled with a series of meetings with business partners, potato producers, and seed growers in Poland. Over 140 participants attended our training sessions, where they had the opportunity to listen to and converse with experienced agronomy specialist, Mr. Werner Menke, who works at our headquarters at EUROPLANT Pflanzenzucht GmbH. With over 40 years of experience and a genuine passion for potatoes, Werner is a walking encyclopedia of variety knowledge.

Discussions revolved around fertilization, potato protection, and most importantly, individual recommendations for each presented variety. We delved into our cultivation recommendations for chip varieties for suppliers contracted to the Lorenz Snacks Polska chip factory. We also met with producers collaborating with the Potato Industry Enterprise Trzemeszno-Plantator, who are seeking the ideal recipe for high yields with maximum starch value.

At FN GRANUM, the focus was on table varieties, their reproduction, commercial advantages, as well as sensitive points to consider during their cultivation.

It was a fruitful time, filled with positive potato energy, interesting questions, and discussions about the future of potatoes in Poland and worldwide.

Looking forward to seeing you at our upcoming training sessions!
