The free Trade Agreement between Iran and the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) was signed in St. Petersburg. This document cancels import customs duties on almost 90% of the product range.
Since 2019, an interim free trade agreement has been in force between the Union and the republic. Thanks to him, in just four years it was possible to double the trade turnover: from 2.4 billion to 6.2 billion US dollars.
However, according to the previous version of the document, the share of agricultural and industrial products in turnover was minimal. But the new agreement will expand duty-free supplies of agricultural products.
