Last year, 6.6 billion rubles of subsidies were allocated to Russian farmers for land reclamation activities. Financing increased by 27% compared to 2021.
Thanks to state support, agricultural producers carried out irrigation and drainage measures on an area of more than 50 thousand hectares, cultural and technical – over 170 thousand hectares. Measures to protect and preserve farmland covered more than 200 thousand hectares, including agroforestry and phytomeliorative measures – about 2 thousand hectares. Also, work was carried out in the field of liming acidic soils on an area of more than 200 thousand hectares.
The largest amount of support funds was used by the Saratov Region (1.16 billion rubles), the Stavropol Territory (0.83 billion rubles), the Samara and Ulyanovsk regions (0.54 billion rubles and 0.36 billion rubles, respectively) and the Republic of Tatarstan (0.36 billion rubles).
