The farm “Concord” has started planting potatoes in the Luga region. The company plans to put 130 hectares of land in 47 regions into circulation this year. All modern equipment for work was purchased with the help of state support. This was announced on Monday, May 16, by the press service of the Leningrad Region Administration.
In addition, the sowing campaign this year in the Leningrad region has already crossed the equator. Thanks to the weather and the professionalism of farmers, the sowing rate in 2022 is 24% higher than last year. Now 12 farms have completely completed the sowing of grain crops.
At the moment, the plan for grain crops has been fulfilled by 80% – 24.7 thousand hectares have been sown. In total, sowing was carried out on an area of 36,000 hectares. Also this year, cabbage, carrots and beets were planted twice as much over the same period. Potatoes are also not far behind – 565 hectares.
