During the first three days of the spring field campaign, potatoes were planted on 15 hectares. In total, it is planned to develop almost 300 hectares of land.
The purchase of mineral fertilizers continues. As part of the state program for the development of agriculture, Orsk farmers purchased three tractors. Replenishment of the machine park will increase labor productivity in the processing of fields and harvesting.
– The projected sown area this season is almost 19,000 hectares, – said Larisa Vyazikova, head of the agriculture department of the Orsk administration. The farmers are hoping for a good harvest. They have already treated 300 tons of seeds. A third of the planned areas have already been selected, and this is only the beginning of a hot sowing season.
This year, it is planned to occupy 12,000 hectares only with grain crops. The remaining areas will be used for growing oilseeds, fodder crops, as well as vegetables and melons.
