By the end of this year, the activity in a potato chips factory in Laktasi, in Bosnia’s Serb Republic, a facility belonging to Serbian food company Marbo, and operating within the PepsiCo multinational company, will be halted.
According to news portal Capital, cited by SeeNews, the factory will be transformed into a distribution center for the entire Bosnia and Herzegovina.
No more than 32 employees will continue to work at the distribution center, whereas 124 employees will be laid off. The entire production will be moved to Marbo’s factory in Serbia’s Maglic, near Novi Sad.
Marbo manufactures, markets, and sells potato chips and other snack foods. It is a distributor of several international brands, including Pepsi, Mirinda, 7Up, Lipton, Lay’s, and Doritos.
