2020 was a year of extremes. We kicked off with a bone-dry spring, then the crops suffered from hail and extreme showers to be treated to an unprecedented heat wave in August. What has this done to the crops and what is the market expectation for this already special year?
In the Crop Tour, Boerenbusiness has followed 10 plots of Innovators and 7 plots of onions distributed across the Netherlands for a season. Through photos, videos and data we flew over the plots to see how the crops are and what the differences are between the regions and compared to other years. Drought, bipartisanship, hail damage, crop protection, it all came to pass this year.
