For preferential short-term lending to the agro-industrial complex of the Republic of Bashkortostan in 2022, the Russian Ministry of Agriculture has set a subsidy limit of 933.4 million rubles, which is 2.6 times higher than in 2021.
“As of the beginning of December 2022, 730 applications for concessional short-term loans in the amount of 23.9 billion rubles were approved for the republic’s farmers,” said Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus, Minister of Agriculture Ilshat Fazrakhmanov. “Preferential loans helped farmers to prepare thoroughly, conduct a sowing campaign and grow a record harvest. Today, credit funds allow agricultural producers in the region not to rush to sell the grain of the new crop, the cost of which is still low.”
The total amount of loans issued by key banks for seasonal field work in the country amounted to about 1.03 trillion rubles.
Recall that the program of concessional lending involves the receipt of loans by agribusiness organizations at a reduced interest rate – from 1 to 5%, and subsidies for its compensation from the state are directly sent to banks.
