100-year-old family tradition and family trade

From 1924 to the present day, the family business Agroplant Holland B.V. continues its history, started by Klass Molenaar. Let’s take a look at this amazing journey that began with Klaas Molenaar and turned into a successful family business.

1924 – 1986: Firma Klaas Molenaar
In 1924, Klas Molenaar founded a company engaged in the sale of vegetables: potatoes, onions, carrots, cabbage, parsnips, cauliflower in brine. After his departure from this world, the van der Lee family continued the company.

1986 – 1996: Handelsmaatschappij Jan van der Lee B.V.
From 1986 to 1996, the van der Lee family ran a trading business under the name Handelsmaatschappij Jan van der Lee B.V.

1996 – 2002: Agrofex Holland B.V.
In the period from 1996 to 2002, the company was named Agrofex Holland B.V. and continued its activities in the field of agriculture.

2002 – 2024: Agroplant Holland B.V.
Since 2002, the company has been known as Agroplant Holland B.V. and specializes in the cultivation of seed potatoes, being a leader in this field.

Today, our company operates in 50 countries around the world. We can boast of our own breeding program with the participation of private breeders and the company Fobek B.V. We are proud of what we have achieved together and look forward to our future plans and collaborations around the world.
