President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko called on farmers to use high food prices and increase harvests and agricultural products during a meeting with workers at the Yubileiny agricultural complex in the Vitebsk region on June 21, the press service of the head of state reports.
“The situation is now developing such that we need a bloody nose this and next year to work well in agriculture. Because your products, especially outside the country, cost a lot of money,” the head of Belarus said.
As food prices outside of Belarus have risen substantially, Alexander Lukashenko has said that agriculture has “been such a golden age.”
Recall that a significant increase in food prices in the EU countries is caused by the refusal of the EU leadership to buy oil and gas from Russia after the start of a special military operation of the Russian army in Ukraine. Earlier, many Western experts pointed to the fact that the sanctions imposed on Russia by the collective West hit hard on the Western world itself and urged to take into account the interests of the Russian Federation, and not inflate Russophobia.
