In 2022, the sown area in agricultural organizations and peasant (farmer) farms of the Yaroslavl region is projected to amount to 261.4 thousand hectares, which is 3.2% higher than in 2021.

Spring sowing is planned to be carried out on an area of almost 70 thousand hectares, including grain and leguminous crops – on an area of 36.9 thousand hectares.

  • The area occupied by open ground vegetables has also been increased – up to 1320 hectares (plus 3% compared to the level of 2021), – said acting. Director of the Department of Agroindustrial Complex and Consumer Market Dmitry Fomin. – The area for growing potatoes this year will be 3,440 hectares (plus 6.3%). The areas occupied by fodder crops have been increased by 9,000 hectares.

At the Rodina agricultural enterprise, the sown area this year increased by almost 8% and amounted to 4279 hectares. Most of it – 2845 hectares – is reserved for fodder crops. 67% more than in 2021, grain and leguminous crops were sown. They will occupy 1.3 thousand hectares. Another 30 hectares will be given for potatoes, 104 for rapeseed.

The enterprise takes the 1st place in the region in terms of the yield of grain and leguminous crops. For grain – 56.5 centners per hectare. At the same time, the gross harvest amounted to 5 thousand tons of grain – according to this indicator, the enterprise is also a leader in the region.

Since 2006 LLC “Plemzavod” Rodina “, where there are 3.6 thousand heads of cattle, has also ranked first in the Yaroslavl region in terms of the productivity of cows. In 2021, the milk yield per one forage cow was 13,193 kilograms.

  • Not a single sowing season, and I have been working for 50 years, is not the same. This year, the spring was very protracted, but again we were among the first in the region to go to the fields, – said Nikolai Lapin, General Director of Rodina Breeding Plant LLC. – I will reveal a secret: you have to work with the land. It is not so easy to grow a crop, but it still needs to be taken out. We made a whole network of roads, having invested 150 million rubles over 5 years. And this means that the equipment will arrive faster and bring the harvest from the field.
