Weather in France makes potato harvest difficult

Situation becomes difficult in northern France

Weather plays a crucial role in agriculture, and recent rains in France have caused problems for potato growers. According to Delphine SOUILLARD, president of the potato and onion trading company HAPPY COMPANY SAS, some areas of northern France are experiencing serious difficulties in completing the harvest.

Intense rainfall in some areas has made it impossible to complete potato digging. Farmers, worried about what is left in the ground and eager to take advantage of every opportunity to finish their harvests, are delaying shipping their produce.

However, the situation is not the same for all regions. In Beauce and the Champagne region, product loading occurs as usual. Farmers from these regions have been able to adapt to the conditions and continue to send their supplies regularly.

Despite these difficulties, French farmers continue to work diligently to minimize crop losses. Local organizations and authorities are also making additional efforts to support farmers during this difficult period.

We hope that the weather will stabilize in the near future and farmers will be able to successfully complete the potato harvest throughout France.
