The Russia restricts the import of potato seeds and other crops

The government of the Russian Federation has published a decree restricting the supply of seeds of various crops from unfriendly countries to the country. They will be introduced from mid-February 2024 and will last until the end of the year.
The new measures will affect potato seeds (16 thousand tons), malting seed barley (0.6 thousand tons), corn seeds (with a ripeness index of more than 300 – 5 thousand tons), sunflower seeds (7.5 thousand tons), hybrid sugar beet seeds (2 thousand tons) and others.
