The lack of potato production in Ukraine makes it possible for the development of potato growing in neighboring countries

At the end of 2020, the Ukrainian Association of Potato Producers warned that without potato imports in the current marketing year, Ukraine is unlikely to meet the needs of the domestic market.

The reason is to reduce the share of industrial potatoes from 30 % to 1.9 % over the past 6 years in the total production structure. The sad fact is associated with the loss of both individual regions of the state and foreign markets, including the countries of the Customs Union.
