Robotti deployed to plant potatoes for the very first time

The first potatoes to demonstrate potato harvesting in Europe were planted using the autonomous Robotti tool carrier.
This is the first time in history that potatoes have been planted with the help of Agrointelli Robotti, an autonomous tool carrier that can independently perform various agricultural tasks. “We are very proud of this absolute first, planting potatoes for the first time with the Robotti robot. During PotatoEurope 2021 in September, Robotti will also harvest this potato, ” said Kuno Jacobs of DLG Benelux.

Planting potatoes for harvest demonstrations is another important step in preparation for the PotatoEurope event, which will take place on September 1-2 at the WUR field crop venue in Lelystad. PotatoEurope is an international event dedicated exclusively to the entire potato production chain, which takes place annually in one of the four partner countries of the event: Germany, Belgium, France and the Netherlands. This year, the organization plans to host more than 275 exhibitors and about 16,000 visitors.
