In 2022, the potato harvest in the Trans-Urals will increase by 19.46% and amount to 178 thousand tons. Last year, the gross harvest of potatoes in all categories of farms amounted to 149 thousand tons. The data is reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the governor.
- In 2022, the sown area occupied by potatoes increased. Several farms in Belozersky, Kurtamyshsky and other districts decided to expand the area under potatoes. In addition, weather conditions are “relatively favourable,” the news agency wrote.
